A few more comments by me:
Bitcoin, like gold, meets all the requirements for what money is. One among them is store of value.
Bitcoin, like gold, can be used for everyday payments, but this is not their strong point, store of value is.
The term "Fiat currency" is very old term, it is not the invention of crypto enthusiasts. It does not mean "money not backed by gold", but rather "money not backed by anything". Insted, Bitcoin is backed by the value of the computational power needed to mine it (hardware value + electricity value + value of engineers work to run the nodes).
Bitcoin's volatility firstly is decreasing over time, and secondly is irrelevant. It does not matter if it looses 20% a day because you know it will go up 30% the next day. On a year-to-year basis BTC is most highly appreciated asset year after year.
On the other hand, fiat currency loses its value, every single year. Therefore, fiat currency is not a store of value.
Regarding Tesla, I am not negative against investing in it. I told you, I expect good gains, but I expect BTC to easily outperform it in 2021, as it did in 2020. My point was that Tesla has a higher market capitulation than all the rest automobile sector, although it produces a small percentage of the total cars the sector produces. But, as I said, this does not matter nowadays, because, unlike other automobiles, Tesla has a cult figure as a CEO. Millenials buy Tesla stock because the know Elon Musk via social media and think he is cool. That's the main factor driving Tesla's stock price. Elon gets this and plays the game better than anyone else.
RE: What would do better, $10,000 Invested in Bitcoin (BTC) or Tesla (TSLA)?
