Last week I did a short description about what LBRY is and how to get free LBRY tokens. This promotional offer is now over and the beta is now released to the public. If you followed my recommendations, soon you will be awarded with some LBRY tokens but if you did not, do not worry! There are plenty of opportunities to gain free LBRY tokens on the platform. For those of you who have not yet heard of the LBRY platform, it is a decentralised open sourced application that allows users to publish files for others to download for free or for LBRY tokens. The exciting thing about LBRY is that it is censorship proof, even if the LBRY company was shut down or purchased by some evil tyrannical thought policing overlord, no content is stored on company servers because the platform is fully P2P, so content is controlled by the people and the network, not the company.
Well, LBRY is in Beta and there could be bugs, however I have yet to spot a single issue. It seems to be a very clean and functional layout!
As you can see, the layout is very clean and simple. It looks like somthing Apple or Amazon would build. There is already a good selection of content to choose from, anything from videos to music to podcasts and files are available to stream or download. I am considering publishing a weekly Podcast on there of my own, although don't expect that soon, I have a lot of work to do before that becomes a reality.

From here you click on the rewards tab and you will see all the actions you can take to earn free LBRY. Don't worry it isn't spamming people or watching adverts, the actions you can take to earn include watching somebodies content, publishing your own and similar activities. Please note that to claim free tokens you have to verify your account, which involves verifying your bank card but no money is taken. It is purely for verification purposes.
Currently, all referral LBRY hasn't been credited to our accounts but the LBRY dev team are very clear that it isn't lost and will be available very soon! In the meantime, just earn your free LBRY on the platform or earn it by publishing good content. Of course you can buy LBRY on Bittrex, Poloniex and Cryptopia. Let's have a look at the charts:
As you can see, there have been a lot of ups and downs over the part three months, but the overall trend is upwards. It is reasonable to assume that the price will go up now that the platform is in public beta. The fact that we have not seen a huge pump on it's release is also a good sign as it suggest a more natural climb over time without any of that annoying pump and dump nonsense we see all too often. I would recommend buying a small amount when you feel it has hit bottom. The price is currently up on the week's average but overall its pretty low. I am happy buying at this price because I like the platform.
I like the concept and I think we really could be looking at a sleeping giant with this one. LBRY has HUGE* potential and could one day rival services such as the Amazon, Google and Apple app stores.
