I need feedback: raffles?
I had an idea that really appealed to me: to do weekly raffles with cool prizes. Raffles are very popular on other social media platforms and I feel like Steemit is a great platform to host such a thing.
Before dedicating hours of time on editing pictures for logos, writing code, building websites and before dedicating money on prizes and on promotion, I thought it best to ask the Steemit community's opinions ahead of time to avoid wasting resources on something that leads nowhere. My final vision would consist of a system where people buy tickets with SBD here on steemit, and automatically updates tickets live on a dedicated website that is available to all to see. The website would feature a countdown clock to the end of the raffle, an automatic live ticket draw and winner announcement at the end of the raffle. I would also like to implement a chat window, and a vote system for the next raffle prize.
I was thinking about 1 ticket being 1 SBD and putting a limit of 3 tickets per person, or maybe 0.1 SBD and a higher maximum. That would have to be determined based on how many people are interested.
My first Idea was to buy a Ledger Nano S as a prize, but future prizes could include other hardware wallets, cryptocurrencies, delegated Steempower, phones, tablets, computers, mining equipment etc.. it all depends on how many people enter and how popular it becomes.
I would like some feedback, this will help me figure out if this would be popular or not, so please do be honest with your opinions, i would rather be told that my idea is crap than end up losing a bunch of money for nothing.
- Do you like the idea of weekly raffles?
- How much SBD is fair for a ticket?
- Would you like to see a limit on how many tickets can be sold per person? If so how many?
- Would you play the raffle only once, or would you play regularly/consistently/occasionally?
- Any suggestions are VERY welcome!
Any suggestions would be most appreciated so please do comment to let me know.
Happy Trading,
