Welcome to Steemit :) I just found one thing that might be interesting for you, if the price of a single unit of a cryptocurrency is expensive or not doesn't really matter, it's much more important to look at the supply of a cryptocurrency, Bitcoin has of course a high price but only 21M Coins, XRP might be much cheaper per coin but it has 100Billion Coins and therefore has a market capitalisation of currently about a fifth of Bitcoin - quite a lot already. If both currencies had the same supply of 21M, then XRP would cost with it's current total value about $1200 per coin. Worth bearing in mind :)
