As a noob to Splinterlands and card games, getting started in Splinterlands is a scary thing.
Everything is too colourful, and too foreign for me when I log into Splinterlands.
And of course, I have yet to make that initial purchase of the $10 Summoner’s Book, which I will later. I can't part with my $10 without knowing what this game is about.
After watching several videos on the web, I can't find any noob-level introduction.

TLDR?
Basically, you “Create Team” within the time limit, combining cards in a tactical way benefits your decks’ performance, and let the play begin.
If you do well, you win some DEC.
So that's the gist of this game.
There are other avenues for earning, yet to be explored. But this is the number one game in Hive, so it is promising! I am thinking of generating passive income so Splinterlands seems like a good option.
