Increase buying power or hoarding a token?

I am currently thinking about something...

I found Hive to be a promising blockchain project in terms of its usability and I like how it can be used. I will likely use it in real life substantially over the years, for games, HP etc. Should I be stacking up the Hive token or should I invest in something else that has more potential for growth in value in this bull run? If the latter turns out to be a moon shot, I could buy more Hive tokens in the future by selling the token.

In short, buying 1000 Hive with fiat now will still only get me 1000 Hive later (ignoring staking rewards and the sorts). Even though the dollar value may increase, I will still have only 1000 Hive.

But if I stock up on a token that can increase my buying power, I can get more Hive when I want to later.

It's again like betting on a horse that will run faster than Hive (though I need to use Hive in real life).

I think this situation is like what most of us are doing when we choose to invest in cryptocurrencies. We actually need fiat for daily life, but we invest in high-yielding tokens to increase our overall buying power.

Just that now it's two crypto horses running. Maybe just pick the horse that has a better risk-reward ratio.
