I always thought I have a delusion of some sort. This is yet another think aloud moment, if you allow me.

It goes this way.

Suppose the total of my savings in the bank is $10,000. And suppose I make $1000 on a monthly basis from my day job. After deducting, expenses I have $500. It goes to the bank savings entirely.

Before my pay day, I would have $10,000. After my pay day, I would have $10,500.

To keep the story simple, let's say the price of one unit of a bitcoin-like asset is $10,000 the day before my payday. Buying it would take me 100% of my wealth, or savings.

And let's just say the price went up to $10,100 after my payday.

Do you see where I am leading to???

Though the price of that asset increased by $100, if I buy it after my pay day, it is actually costing me 96.2% of my entire asset stash.

If I consider my life as being infused with the entire market or world, the reality is that I had gotten out more from the market through my salaried work. Indicated by my total savings increment.

I shouldn't be vexed by the fact that the price shot up by $100, but instead think how much more I can afford due to the newly added savings from my monthly salary.

Is this delusional?

I am asking because this is the case with Hive now. Hive climbed back up, but I actually could afford more due to my newly earned salary.

Does that make Hive cheaper? For me, specifically.
