You're absolutely right in pointing out that it's a tribute to Sergio Corbucci. A rather curious fact is that, although there are only 2 officially credited films in the franchise, there are over 30 titles bearing the name Django (there's even a Peruvian trilogy!). That's why Tarantino, being the massive film buff he is, pays tribute with this love letter written in bullets and blood. Excellent insight.

Acertadísimo al señalar que es un homenaje a Sergio Corbucci. Un dato bastante curioso es que, aunque solo existen 2 películas acreditadas como oficiales de la saga, hay más de 30 títulos que llevan el nombre de Django (¡hasta una trilogía peruana!). Por eso Tarantino, siendo el gran cinéfilo que es, le rinde esta carta de amor a punta de balas y sangre. ¡Gran aporte!
