I saw a reddit post yesterday of a guy complaining his local pub had gone cashless. 90% of comments were people calling him a conspiracy nut.
The majority of people are already willing to give up their freedom for convenience in my opinion.
If only there was a country that has already gone cashless and turned into a dystopian nightmare that people can learn from...
