On our last day of vacation, after spending a week in the Alentejo, we decided to give the little ones a little surprise.
This time we decided to visit "Portugal dos Pequenitos" in Coimbra.
Portugal dos Pequenitos is considered the first theme park in Portugal, being a playful and educational space of a very pleasant and fun historical nature.
Here we can find, always in miniature size, reproductions of the Portuguese architectural heritage through examples of traditional houses and replicas of National Monuments from North to South of the country, such as the Jerónimos Monastery, the Convent of Christ, among many others.
There is also a section dedicated to the ethnographic and monumental representation of Portuguese-speaking African Countries, Macau, India and Timor, which reminds us of the former Portuguese Colonies and contextualizes the project in the historical period in which it was built.
This visit provided a lot of fun as they entered the miniature houses and appeared in the windows or on the roofs.
Definitely a great time spent with the family.
