I don't know if you will like this type of publications but I decided to start a monthly report where I will share with you the development of my performance in my handball championship.
Normally, the report will focus on that week's game, but this one has more than one game since some matches have already taken place.
My team's goal for this season is to get maintenance in the first division.
Our team is composed of 20 players with an average age of 23 years and to have this average age we must have the 3 goalkeepers over the age of 30.
This makes us one of the youngest teams in the league and we end up noticing it on the pitch.
In order not to find the points strange, in handball the victory gives 3 points, the tie 2 points and the defeat 1 point.
My team is currently at the bottom of the standings with just 1 win.
We have already had games against teams that have goals in the championship very different from ours (FC Porto, Benfica, Sporting and Águas Santas) but we have also had games against direct candidates for the same goals. Ams we ended up losing a lot due to the lack of experience of our team.
As you can see I have played 246 minutes total and made 42 saves that means I saved 25% of the shots made.
This is not a bad percentage of effectiveness for a first division goalkeeper for a team that is struggling for maintenance.
However, it is clear that I can always do more and thus help my team to be more successful and not depend on the inexperience of the team.
Next week we will not have a game for the championship but for the cup against a team from the second division.
Our goal is to win the game and move on to the next stage.
