I do some posts using @liketu and I really think that application has an insane potential to get more users to Hive around the world. However, I think that have some things that can be improved to help users have a better experience.
I've been a Hive user for 3 years and I use my cell phone a lot to interact with the different Hive frontends and LikeTu is where I have the most difficult experience.
I'll explain why...
1. Mobile compatibility
The frontend is compatible with mobile phones, but the experience is not the best because several features don't work correctly and because of that I use the desktop version on my mobile phone which, although not the best thing, guarantees that everything works correctly.
I think it would be interesting to do a UI review for mobile.
2.Login with HiveAuth
For users mobile, it is better to login in a Dapp/website using HiveAuth (developed by @arcange) instead to need to use HiveSigner.
Why?
Because using HiveAuth we donβt need to be inserting all the time the posting key to login since the HiveAuth it is integrated with Hive Keychain mobile app, and we only need to approve the transaction.
3.Mobile Application
One of the things that I think all LikeTu users are waiting for is having a mobile application instead of having to access the website.
However, since putting the app on the Google Play Store or the Apple Store they have to be reviewed by Google, or Apple and if they decide they can remove the app at any time.
Since LikeTu can be classified as a competitor to Instagram, I don't think Google will like to have this LikeTu application in its store.
Taking this into account, I think the best approach would be to change the current code of the site to be a progressive application, like Peakd.
A progressive application would allow anyone to βinstallβ the application on their mobile phones and have a usability experience as if it were a mobile application.
