I know that there is nothing that prohibits people from creating content in languages other than English.

Currently, we have the example of several contents created in Spanish, but this is a rare case, excluding Chinese.

It is normal to have more content in English as it is the language spoken worldwide even in business relationships, but there are millions of people in the world who do not and feel comfortable writing or creating videos in English.

So why is Spanish a rare case?

Because content created in Spanish has the support of @theycallmedan through delegations to a curation project whose objective is to curate content created in Spanish.

As much as we want to “sell” decentralization as a benefit and being the core of Hive, people are actually interested in being able to monetize the content they create.

This is what makes people create content on YouTube because it is one or even the most used video platform in the world and even if they fail to reach the minimum objectives to earn with advertising embedded in the platform, they end up managing to close partnerships with companies.
WordPress was initially used to create frontends to publish content, as it was easily integrating AdSense and trying to monetize the content.

If we think in the same way as most people who create content, Hive is not attractive to these people unless there is a whale that speaks that language or wants to support the creation of content in that language.

Why did I decide to talk about this?

Because my mother tongue is Portuguese, which is the 9th most spoken language in the world (252 million speakers) in a total of approximately 7 thousand languages existing in 8 countries spread over 4 continents.

Since one of the largest countries is Brazil, which is a country where cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology have a lot of adherence.

Should we start trying to encourage people who don't create content in English to come to Hive?
