You may have missed the popup with the instructions. It's in your very first screenshot. Sure, it's not the ideal solution but it's a start. In our mind the free trial did not need more explanation than that.

Other browser games like https://ev.io (purchased by Coinbase) do the same, you jump directly into action.

the lag is noticeable

• If you are using an old machine use Firefox. Also make sure to close heavy applications in the background. You can also disabled shades in the settings if you still have issues after that (very uncommon).

boxes of ammunition

As per instructions you need to preserver your ammo. Ammo are a rare resource (the good ammo NFTs are a bit rare too).

Boxes eventuallly will be openable but most of the times they will contain nothing. Sometimes they'll contain a key for a door in the next level or some ammo.

I also see that you only played the 1st level but once you win there are 2 more playable without any NFTs (Cargo Ship and Mars).

takes us out of the map

It's intentional and it can be avoided with the Teleport NFT.
