I'm no musician either but I also thought I heard that she was off by half a note sometimes. I simply pegged it to "showmanship". I've heard that there are some combinations of notes that are not very good for music, but that if you just "cheat a little", you can make it work for quick compositions. (Video below about this.) I obviously don't know if this was the case in the piece, and whether her cheating was justified.
