I've always thought about immortality. I always read about it. I also really wish I could have it. I mean, maybe with a turn off button, you know? Like, maybe just not-aging.
I'd also like to not forget as much. Too many times I talk to someone who knows me and I don't know what to tell them. "Sorry, I know we probably met, but I don't have any idea who you are." It's terrible because it has forced me to understand that we see people differently than they see us, that someone whom we appreciate might just think of us as mere acquaintances.
Overall, I'd like to solve the whole fragility-of-humanity issue for myself. Stronger, faster, better memory, longer life, better genes. The usual, I guess. I think all superpowers stem from this insecurity brought to us by our realisation that we are more tied to rules than our fantasies.
About mind control, I don't know if I'd want that. I mean, if it's offered, I'll take it 😂 but otherwise, it feels like a bit of a cheat for me. I'm already a "persuader" by choice, I like to talk people into certain mindframes, but if I could just do it magically, wouldn't I lose the charm? Perhaps I'd keep wishing for more, or perhaps the world would simply bow at my feet and I would wonder what the next challenge is.
Every time I play a game with cheats, I lose interest and play something else. Happened with Skyrim, Age of Empires, Minecraft, and so many others.
However, there is one game where limited cheats have increased my interest, and that is Dofus. There is a Beta where we can try stuff, like, there's a cheap shop to buy all the expensive equipment, to change class and have different powers, and it gives me the challenge to be able to solve the same fights/duels with different spells. But in the end, there, I sacrifice a set of limitations for another, it's not like I simply remove them. Life being like a game for me, I like to test my limits all the time and have fun with it.
