Why do you have that feeling? I think that the problem is with their client-side cache database, or the cookies. But it could also be a Steemconnect authentication problem as you say.

I use it to post only hahaha. It's not like you lose anything for just posting from there. It takes a couple more seconds and it gives 0.121 in a vote. Seems reasonable. And it seems to work now.
