Introduction
IOTA is a new cryptocurrency with many AMAZING features. It is designed for the internet of things. IOTA uses quite a different technology than Bitcoin; it uses the Tangle whereas bitcoin uses the Blockchain.

Decentralized
IOTA has no miners, unlike Bitcoin. This means that there won’t be forks without the majority consensus. Also, anyone that makes any transactions in IOTA, participates in the consensus, thus making it more decentralized than Bitcoin.

Fees/Microtransactions
As many of you already know Bitcoin (BTC) has very high fees compared to other cryptocurrencies, this, in turn, doesn't allow for microtransactions to happen. But, IOTA has no fees at all, yes you heard that correctly. It has NO FEES!!! Since it has no fees, it allows for microtransactions to happen. For instance; if I want to send Bob 1 cent, I can do that with IOTA, but not with Bitcoin because I wouldn't be able to pay the transaction fees.

Scalability/Transaction Speed
The transaction speed of IOTA increases as there is an increase in the number of users whereas this is the opposite for Bitcoin, this is because IOTA uses the Tangle, whereas Bitcoin uses the blockchain. Because IOTA uses the Tangle it will be able to confirm many transactions in seconds.

Quantum-Resistant
IOTA is quantum-resistant which means that it can withstand an attack from quantum consensus, whereas Bitcoin can’t cause it uses Blockchain technology. Thus, it is more secure than Bitcoin.

Conclusion
Because there are no fees, and the transactions speed increase as the volume of users increases this makes it a good cryptocurrency to be used regularly for buying/selling things online and in the real world.
