I understand the dark visual identity and the concept of an investigative tool, but I would move away from the overly gothic design and position Hive Raven more as a professional platform for data analysis, security, and blockchain intelligence.
The black color, the tool’s name, and the motto establish a distinct identity. The problem (in my opinion) lies in how that identity is applied to the interface.
I’ll admit that the first few times I saw the tool, it made me think of the dark web 😅
The serif fonts, the gold accents, and the phrase “Council of Ravens” convey the atmosphere of a secret society. 🤣
It’s an interesting direction, but it may not be the most appropriate for a tool that aims to convey investigative capabilities, analytical rigor, transparency, and trust.
So I came up with a new visual direction based on developing a concept I called Dark Intelligence — Blockchain Analytics.
I love ravens. So I’d keep the idea of preserving the mysterious aspect, but reinvent it as a symbol of observation, intelligence, and vigilance. Instead of a medieval design, I’d go with a visual identity more akin to a blockchain analytics center, a digital investigation system, or a financial platform.
I’d use a contemporary typeface that’s highly legible and well-suited for interfaces with a lot of analytical information.
Obviously, this is just my opinion—feel free to disagree.
