Decentralized live music marketplace Viberate has been successfully hitting its roadmap’s deadlines, as it recently added 50,000 new music venue profiles and over 200,000 event profiles to its database, as previously covered by CCN.
The marketplace, which wants to help musicians sell gigs to event organizers in exchange for cryptocurrency, recently added a twist to its ICO in order to celebrate it, as it featured a live event where world-renowned DJ UMEK performed.
A successful ICO
In a press release published before its ICO, Viberate’s developers revealed that the blockchain community had shown an overwhelming interest in the project, as it helps musicians and event organizers, as well as music fans.
Vibe tokens, sold in the ICO, are slowly going to become the marketplace’s main currency, as they will be used by event organizers to pay musicians for gigs through the platform, and by Viberate itself to reward users who work on the platform. Musicians will also be able to use Vibe tokens to gain access to premium industry contacts, and fund Google AdWords-like campaigns that’ll allow them to gain premium positions on top of charts.
The project’s CEO, Matej Gregorčič, went as far as state that he expected Viberate’s crowdsale to hit its cap in a matter of minutes. As it turns out, the project’s Vibe tokens sold out in under five minutes and, in an attempt to provide investors liquidity as soon as possible, Viberate announced that on October 6, Vibe tokens will be listed on the Livecoin.net exchange.
Vasja Veber, one of Viberate’s co-founders, stated:
“Based on the flood of questions about the first listing, we think this is one of the most anticipated coins of this year and we can’t wait to see how the market will respond on the 6th of October. As far as our work goes, we will stick to the plan and keep meeting deadlines, regardless of the price movement. Our development plans can’t be distracted by anything, which shouldn’t be a problem, since most of our own tokens are vested anyway.”
During the ICO, the price of one token was of $0.1, and those that weren’t able to buy some then will be able to do so on Livecoin.net, although other exchanges, including industry-leading ones, will also list the token in the future.
Rewards program set to launch soon
Vasja Veber added that, next on Viberate’s to-do list, are booking agency profiles and, even before that, the introduction of the platform’s first blockchain integration – rewards program that will allow users to earn Vibe tokens by contributing to the platform, effectively helping it grow.
By helping it grow, users are at the same time helping Vibe tokens gain value, while improving the live music industry. To keep up with the project, follow Viberate on Facebook and Twitter, and join the discussion on their Telegram channel.
