This morning I tried to lower my weight down so that I can achieve a better blood pressure after my dialysis. It turns out that it is not enough to make me achieve my target goal both for my well-being and my blood pressure.

I just needed to lower my weight down to 54.4 Kg (with the wheelchair weight added). It is because today I went home with 54.6 Kg.

Why I Would Like To Lower My Weight?

With a lower dry weight my heart would get more relaxed because it will have a lesser volume of blood to pump. A more relaxed heart means that I will at least lower the risk of developing a heart condition most specifically the enlargement of heart or left ventricular hypertrophy or something like that.

I am just keen on that issue because I know that the number one cause of hypertension is volume in the blood because dialysis patients cannot produce urine which is why majority are always full of extra fluids in the body which strains the heart.

Also I am just more relaxed with a lower dry weight and blood pressure compared to if I am congested it just feels like you are ready to explode.

So that is my goal now until I can lower it enough not to cause a crashing BP but not heavier enough to make me full faster. Well anyway the hot and humid days are here now so it just helps me out with that kind of rather peculiar issue that to some will never understand.
