The Internet now had been a necessity for almost every person in our era now. My father is now getting the entertainment of his lifetime because before he was just either watching TV, listening to the radio, or tinkering around the house and our car's engine if there is something have to be fixed.
Now he still does those but more on watching youtube videos from a smartphone given to him by my niece. Good for my father because he will never get bored and fix unbroken things in the house.
For me it is obvious that I can earn too from the Internet. At first when my sister-in-law bought a USB modem I used it to find a way to get a free Internet connection because during those early years of Internet here in my country the Internet connection is really expensive.
So I end-up using free VPN to a paid VPN. Later I used a hacked broadband modem where I installed a firmware, hunted for MAC addresses to clone a working modem and just using the connection to download movies and get to join chats and of course Facebook.
Later I went on to search a way to earn and landed to a website that is now long gone. It is a social blogging site where I earned about $2,000 dollars which I used for my dialysis needs and some other necessities.
The money that I earned from it I also used for my other ventures that turned out to be just a Ponzi scheme but I was left almost unscathed when I got out in time but one where I lost about 900 dollars.
It is quite a learning curve because of maybe my greedy disposition, my want to earn easier, my desperation to earn because I have to sustain my dialysis and other medical needs, and or for the fun of it waiting for something exciting to come-up.
Now you cannot see me venturing into another type of investing because I learned my lesson. The only investment venture that I am doing is using my time to make my waking hours as productive as I can. Fortunately I love blogging because I had done this for about three years now, night and day with almost no break even in weekends, even when I am really feeling shitty I still write my world.
So I am thankful about this platform where I can not only earn some money but also earn some friends in the process and that is the best part of socializing in this platform, you are both, real friends that care and money.
With the kind of situation that I have now that I cannot even easily walk to the living room area to watch TV with my parents, if not for the Internet I will just be bored as ef for that matter. I could have more possibly dead by now because I will not be earning and thus will not be able to support my necessities.
But the Internet now is almost everyone's friend, they just use if for their own purposes. Most for entertainment, or information source, socializing, business, work, or combination of these things or some other things that I am not aware about.
A disabled man like me with a spacial and important need is now being quenched by the Internet, it had made my life a bit more with a purpose and value for some people and myself and basically in the other hand saved my life from death and boredom. It is quite fascinating that our online life is impacting some of us in a very positive way which is enough like for me to see the light of many days thanks be to God.
