Our guava tree's fruits a long time ago suffered from fruit fly attacks but since there are so many guava around they could not infect all the fruits so we often get fruits all-year-round :D
I missed that guava tree, when my father comes from abroad every three years or so he hacks it bare and it suffered three times of hacking (only the trunk remained) until it died.
By the time the tree died I can no longer climb it because of my illness.
