I was against the "anti-skill" card minimum level update when it happened. It makes the game optically look exclusively money oriented and not skill oriented. Most people don't want to watch or bet on a game where money is the driving factor (they want to do so on games of skill or luck), people want to see underdogs they want the possibility of "David beating Goliath". Penalizing David isn't a great look. I've been very mixed on SPL for a long while. I still check in on the game sometimes and play some hands of cards, but if I was new I know I wouldn't have been as excited as I was at the start. The times of skill being a primary determining factor for earning are behind us, it's not about the cards anymore and moreso about speculative ROI.
