This is exactly what I did moving on to Ecency. The 'boats are useful; you just shouldn't live in one' line sums it up perfectly. The tenant vs. owner framing is spot on too; once you’ve had a platform change terms on you, owning your keys hits different. I learned that lesson the hard way when I tried to move too quickly at first. Cross-posting going forward instead of dumping the archive is underrated advice.
