Hours after the tragic incident on Chalkidiki, that 6 people (maybe more) lost their lives and hundreds injured from the extreme weather conditions, it was time for Euboea island to hit from that weather.
I was in the way back from my night shift when i realized that something big has coming, i stopped my car in the side of the road to take a picture from the upcoming storm.
The storm that moment was on the North Evian Gulf with southern direction, so i was pretty sure that moments later will hit my city Chalkida.
Well that was pretty fast... In less than 10 minutes i was home and this was my view from my balcony!!
Thunders, sudden strong winds, noise and tons of rain was the results in the matter of minutes..
Look the in following images how the storm devouring the city of Chalkida!
Well, it was quite amazing for summer that kind of storm, unfortunately with heavy cost for the North Greece...
For those that still believe that there isn't any climate change, the previous strong heat wave on central Europe and this extremely heavy storm that hit south Italy and Greece is a ringing bell..
That kind of weather conditions with hail in the size of an egg, waterspouts, 130-150 mile winds in the middle of the summer isn't normal...
We are living on this planet and we have to care about it
