In theory, yes, walmart can just adopt crypto, but in practice, legacy companies usually are attached to their payment networks of old, so it would be unlikely.
A crypto based walmart competitor would have to do more tech work upfront, and thus, getting closer to be a tech company instead of a grocery shop.
