The Structure of a Continuum – 22

We think differently. Organisms and machines function and we may each think differently about that, but we also think about how we think differently.

As an NFT something has to be felt as art. It's actual scarcity is in the feeling that if it is lost there is nothing that is going to replace it. Something that is virtually codified as an actual object that expresses a function, based on consensus, is here the structure of the knot. This image is measuring systemic reality as a sequential growth pattern, and that is as close to the feel of an autonomous entity that a thought can conceive of. This knot, composed of two five crossing knots combined together with two four crossing knots and two three crossing knots taking up eight modules of a nine module square, carries a feeling. But it also gives meaning to the value of modules 258, 259, 260, 261, 262, 263, 264 and 265 in the Cryptoknot protocol for the duel purpose of digitally identifying this pattern and having something that this scarce identity can use to tokenize its value. If it is gone so are those numbers and the meaning of their value.
The thinking here makes a token the everyday equivalent of the signature. A signature is unique to an individual and represents the value of that individual's promise.
What is on Steemit, here making a continuum an NFT concept, was tested out years ago in an experiment using the mass gathering for the twenty-fifth anniversary of Woodstock; Woodstock '94; that used signatures. A machine developed to create individually detectable differences on a durable metal “tag” to make it a mark of identity, as in graffiti, was distributed to a base that left a reference to their ownership as a signature. These are all those signatures.

My thoughts are seldom easy to follow because an enigmatic provenance of conceptual artworks must have been followed in the past. The two concepts being joined together here share the Internet's potential to reach those that enjoy participating in complex challenges. Over the next year there will be an effort to introduce a base of memorabilia holders from the past to the present concept of Non Fungible Token valuables by offering them a shares in an upcoming air drop.
