A very strong post to think about! I always thought, that Africa is less developed because of a good climate. People just don't need to cooperate to survive. In the place where I live (Russia) you can survive on your own in winter. Since ancient time people had to work together just to survive. Nowadays if our central heating system will malfunction and will not be fully fixed in 1-2 days, houses will suffer almost unrecoverable damage in case temperature outside is below -30 degrees Celsius. So the society is always united to make the basic things like roads, power stations, hospitals in a good shape. When i think about Africa, i don't see such factors. Why would people there unite and sacrifice personal needs to help society?
