It seems that the concept of rest room, or toilet, as some say, differs greatly between men and women.
When a man goes to the bathroom, he usually goes for one reason only, while a woman uses the bathroom as a gossip social club, a beauty salon, a photo studio, a psychiatric clinic, and many other purposes. I have actually seen women who go to the bathroom as strangers and make friends after exchanging phone numbers.
Imagine with me, for example, that you are sitting with a group of work friends, women and men, and you say to one of the friends: "I'm going to the bathroom.. Would you like to come with me?" 😁
