Through her long evolutionary history, a woman has been qualified to understand her child from just a cry from which she knows if her child is hungry, sick, thirsty, or distracted. And she learned to realize from her child his facial features and what reveals his psychological state, whether happy, sad or sick.
Thus, the woman's mind acquired skills to monitor small auras, read between the lines, and deal with children who would not be able to express linguistically what they had in their minds until after years. Rather, this talent enabled that the mother could feel their children even when they were in the other room.
In short, women's ability to communicate non-verbally, understand sign language and feelings, and notice small particles and decipher the vocal and motor codes of their children contributed to preserving humanity and improving its chances of survival. As for the man, his communicative abilities went on a different path that supports clear linguistic communication and interest in the broader general view, which is best when going out to hunt.
Accordingly, women are more able to detect men's lies through the movement of his hands or his face or any reaction in which he falls, due to their skill in non-linguistic communication. As for a man, his wife can lie to him for ages without him realizing unless she tells him by herself or is confirmed by clear, tangible evidence from her close friend.
In short, women lie like men, but women are more capable of detecting lies, and a lying man does not stand up to any woman for long.
This also explains why we, as men, do not notice those changes that a woman may make in the color of her hair or dress, and the woman sees it as negligence on the part of the man.
