This is a brief observation about Edge Wallet, a mobile app that can get anyone started in cryptocurrency with as little as a user name and password.

Not to be confused with Microsoft Edge. 馃挬

I learned about Edge Wallet today after watching a webinar from The Dollar Vigilante. If you want to be able to buy cryptocurrencies without KYC depending on your location with as little as a debit or credit card you can get started easily by making an account that doesn't even need an email address.

What impressed me about their wallet and platform is the simplicity of use. Try explaining wallets, seed phrases, private and public addresses among other details to someone that doesn't have the patience or time get into this or dependability to manage their own seed phrases. It's a major deterrent for most people who's eye's will glaze over if you try to get them started into cryptocurrencies. The simplicity of this app is far easier and less time consuming than setting up a traditional KYC account.

Edge wallet values the privacy of it's users; a value sorely needed in this world of constant encroachment of our privacy. If you want to get into trading Monero - XMR (a privacy coin) you can through its app.

The phone you have the app set up on will store your private keys in an encrypted form which only you will have access to through a password or Biometric login. I'll leave more details for those to explore directly through their site.

One point mentioned in the webinar was that if you had an old phone (not super old) you could wipe it first and use it as a hardware wallet of sorts if you wanted to have a phone only for crypto transactions which wasn't a bad idea.

Overall this looks like a super easy way of getting into crypto currencies if you haven't already and you want to dip your toe in and start purchasing or trading.

Please leave your thoughts or comments below, cheers!
