And what do we tell the world? What is so special about HIVE? Do we have the list clearly made up in our minds? Or will we be somewhat surprised when asked and our answer somewhat confused?
We can't respond with unprepared uncertainties like "uh, well, it could be a lot of things from the communities, to a revival in blogging, oh and then there was HF24 with lots of optimizing, and maybe it’s the coming SMTs …" Answers like that won’t inspire confidence. Words like “could”, “oh and then”, "lots of", “maybe” and the like need to be stricken from our vocabulary when talking about HIVE’s success.
We need to inspire confidence, and that requires authoritative language, which in turn requires that we really know what we’re talking about. We need to work together and get on the same page about why HIVE is mooning before it moons, and I'm not so sure that will be as easy as many think it may be.
