I think that everyone hopes it isn't true, but the sad state of affairs is that it's looking more and more like it is. Either way, the only way to know if it's true or if it isn't is to investigate. I seems to me that the key is to have an open and transparent investigation - it seems to me that is in everyone's best interest, both red and blue. The issue must be addressed. Sweeping it under the rug does nothing but cast even more doubt.
