But we need to remember, that in order for a token to be of any value at all, it must be useful, and before it can be useful, it must be secure, and you only get that with a widely distributed, decentralized system. There could be millions of tokens, but I think the ones of value will be counted in the hundreds, all of which will either be tied to major blockchains (like HIVE), or be a major blockchain outright (like HIVE). As I see it there's no way around it: either you are a major widely distributed, decentralized blockchain (or you live on one), or you're nothing.
