Wow! I have reached another milestone fellow Steemians! And, it's all thanks to you for listening to me. I feel appreciated. My last post did Titanic numbers and I'm so excited! Except, this ship ain't sinking baby! This just gives me further fuel in knowing that it can be done. I was actually blown away by the number of up votes, which was around 245+. But, I always have faith in the process. I know as long as I'm being honest and giving you folks what I've learned from my experiences of trial and error, that you will appreciate it. This community never ceases to amaze me. It feels like we are getting more powerful by the day too. Can you feel it?
Imagine, how big this site will be in a year? Yes, i'm an optimist. I honestly think we are just scratching the surface here. I'm pretty sure Steem will be picked up by more exchanges in the near future. That's when things will start slowly improving (not that it's not great already). I also think there be more Steem-based apps in the future. How can there not be? How many other social networks you know paying out their posters this well? I'll wait...Exactly! NONE!
It really feels like the snowball effect for me. My little writing experiment is starting to grow legs. My journey is starting to reap benefits. The $20 I earned on my last post is quite the motivation booster for me. Now, it may not be hundreds of dollars like some bigger members who would get that many votes. But, I'm guessing it has something to do with influence level and not that many whales voted for it. But, i'm not complaining. Quite the opposite! I'm celebrating baby! As we all should when we hit our milestones along the road. It's the fuel that keeps us going.
And, it is so encouraging. But, be clear, it's not about focusing on the money for me. Cause, like I said, that will come. And it's slowly starting to take form. The drips of income are coming in faster and becoming more frequent. They are starting to splash bigger too. And I am certainly grateful. I mean, think about it. You can be on Facebook slaving away writing a post. For what? Just so you can get likes or reactions. Lol. It's quite comical, now that I think about it.
Now, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with posting on other social networks. I still post regularly on those sites too. After all, all your friends are on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc.. But, I envision the day when all our friends will be Steemians.
As crazy as it may sound, Steemit has the power to change the whole landscape of social networking.
Granted, there will need to be some changes added, like more social features. But, I wholeheartedly believe those are in the works. There are probably some scaling issues that will be need addressed to accommodate the influx of newcomers as well. That will all happen as the platform evolves. One thing I am sure of is that the changes will benefit us all. Like a proud parent, we will watch this community and our own influence and economy grow right before our very eyes.
The Blockchain is a game changer. I wholeheartedly believe that. Look at all the awesome applications it has introduced. From exchanging money worldwide in a few minutes, to gambling, to gaming, to economies of scale, and of course to blogging- Steemit in particular. And, we are just at the tip of the iceberg folks. We haven't seen nothin' yet! Don't believe me, just watch.
So, let's all celebrate our milestones together fellow Steemians. I'm gonna plan on going to one of the Steemfest get togethers soon. Just so I can meet the awesome folks that make up this community. I urge you to do the same thing. Maybe, one day we can all retire from our jobs together and have a massive Steem yacht party. Lol. Until then, let's all make sure to rejoice every time we accomplish a breakthrough (no matter how small or large) on this amazing platform! Crypto Gawd, OUT!
