The YouTube channel I've been a part of @nomorebeta had our first "financially successful" week thanks to steemit! It has not necessarily translated to "real dollars", yet; However, it has demonstrated to me the power of this platform, over say a platform like YouTube, to allow the community to benefit from content they created. I can't wait for this community to become larger than all of the current big names in every category of online media.
