There are several authenticated identity systems in use, varying from official identification systems which are managed by a government and these include passports and national ID documents. They are employed to the informal online identity systems of Twitter, Google, Microsoft, and Facebook which are progressively more used for logging in and commenting on external websites.

Unofficial identity structures are trendy, but it can be debated that they don't provide data protection and adequate security. Conversely, government identity systems deal with a lot of obsolete paperwork, and the majority of people in developing countries merely don't have functional ID documents issued by the state.
