On a popular downtown street, this restaurant offers traditional Turkish food and dessert. Today we visited Lider Restaurant for lunch.
Tuvuk Şiş
We ordered this main which compromised of grilled chicken, tomato and green pepper. The sides included bread, sliced onions, parsley and bulgur. Together they tasted great but as a dish, it appears like a "put everything together" dish.
Işkembe (Intestine Soup)
Our friend insisted we try a local dish, so after some strong recommendation, we said okay. The soup came with garlic sauce and vinegar to add (or cover) the flavour. The soup was quite light in flavour, lacking in stock or salt, so we added more lemon juice and garlic.
Upstairs always better
We went upstairs and there were plenty of seating available. The place was cool with breeze passing through. It can get got here, like 50°C! Service was fast and the staff were always around to help. Overall we spent 96 liras for 4 people.
