You're right about the competition that Hollywood is facing worldwide. The moviegoing audience is no longer limited to North America. I think even movie studios know this. It could be why most of them are attempting to make films for an international audience, but with varying success.

Last year's Oscars showed that, too. And as a fan of international cinema, I know there is a lot of good content out there just waiting to discovered by a bigger audience.
