Only one week to go until the North American Total Solar Eclipse. Scientist predict it will darken the skies form Oregon to South Carolina. It's said to stretch about a 70 mile path across North America and that people fortune enough to see it are in for an unforgettable treat.
Please note: Sky watchers should never look at a partial solar eclipse without proper eye protection. Looking directly at the sun, even when it is partially covered by the moon can cause serious eye damage. More to follow on safety in upcoming posts.
