I was hoping to drop this post in the AVA community tonight, but see we are not up and running with that particular one just yet.
There are many Crypto projects out there that have strong fundamentals yet the price doesn't reflect what is being offered. These can be seen as long term investments as short term they are not going to make you rich overnight.
Many top projects are down 90% currently and in most cases were undervalued even before this Crypto crash. The truth is these projects are still too early for Crypto and need time to grow their value.
A prime example is Travala (AVA) who had a high of $6.45 in April last year and only showed us where this project is heading. Consider that in February 2019 the price was $0.012 c so that is some serious growth and it is not done yet even though today's price is $0.54c. This is all part of the growth cycle which takes time to reflect in the value.
This at a time when travel is only opening up and will take time to get back to normal
The global travel industry reached $1.6 trillion back in 2017 and has shrunk slightly due to Covid and lock downs but we all know it will bounce back. Predictions put the industry at around $1.5 trillion this year which is large when you consider Travala's market cap is only $28 million. This seems like a joke when you consider how big this could become. Don't forget that the AVA token is losing circulating supply down from 62 million tokens to 42 million and this would make the market cap today around $22 million.
If AVA took only 1% of the market share in the Travel industry that would equate to $15 Billion which means the market cap would have to rise significantly to accommodate this. 1% by the way is nothing compared to what they could grow into. A $22 million market cap just wouldn't be able to service this and even a 50 x the today's price of $0.54 c would still fall short. This is why the long term thinking has to come into how you calculate value.
Crypto and travel are a match made in heaven as this is all done online. There is no need for travel agents or Forex in the future as crypto covers it all. Over the last few years we have seen AVA expanding their options and this will only become bigger and bigger. Partnerships will only expand the user base and why a 1% market share is seriously underselling what they have.
@revisesociology mentioned the price of their offerings as a concern a few months back saying they were expensive. I read an article the other day someone mentioned Travala was the cheapest option they had found and booked via the app. I think this will become the new reality as they will become the biggest booking travel platform within the next 10 years. The packages have to be reduced in price and expect that to happen as I do think this is one of the projects that is going to boom.
