It is that time of the week again and to look back what has been accomplished so far. The OCD curation project has been running in Sports for 5 weeks now and the numbers are very encouraging.

When we first started out we had 722 Members and today see that figure at 828 so an overall increase of 106. That figure is a decent growth and know we can do better as the more members we have it will attract more interest.

It is no good having new members who aren't active though so this figure i believe is more important to the community. Five weeks ago we had 65 active members and now we have more than doubled to a figure of 141. That tells us that only 15% of members are active and we need to kick their butts to get involved.

I have been purposefully hunting for new members to curate over the last week and there are some really decent posts in trending. This I believe is the key to growing the community so if you haven't been curated this week don't be despondent as I see you and will visit you again.

The support that is being offered is for everyone that does a decent post whether it is chess or football it doesn't matter. I must admit I have never read so much in my life and it is a pleasure to read most of the offerings you are putting up these days. Sometimes I can't believe it is the same user as the effort being made now from a few months ago is something to behold.

Please don't forget to use the #sportingmemories and the #sportinginjuries tags as the idea was to give you a topic that gave you a guide line. This normally helps as the post is organic and personal coming from your perspective allowing everyone to get to know who you are.

The one thing we are all bad on and need to improve is engagement on posts and it is something that has been raised in ocd@ocd over the last week. Please take the time to leave a comment wherever possible as sometimes that is a reward in itself as it tells the author people are reading their posts.

Comments you must see as a growing tool as that is how you get followers supporting you. This is how I started out with no value in my account and no followers and that soon changed over time. Anyone can do it and it costs you nothing but time.

If you have any ideas on how we can grow the community further please contact me in the sports discord. There are some ideas like having a sports quiz night where everyone plus new users join us for some fun. Bring your own drinks and snacks kind of thing and we have some prizes, but more about fun and engaging with others.
