From my understanding Jay jay moved for money and not furthering his career. He admits he made some wrong choices and never did his research before certain transfers. I don't believe skin color had anything to do with him not achieving more as you either have the full package or you don't. Maybe if he had a better agent or an advisor he would have found a bigger club and achieved far more. 14 goals in 124 appearances for Bolton doesn't exactly stand out as a top performer and you are as only as good as the players around you with the service they provide. Back in those days I think he would have struggled to break into the Man Utd team or even the top 4 in the Premier League. Surely if he was any good one of the top teams would have tried to sign him. There must be something else I am missing as why was Bolton the only English team after his signature?
