That is a harsh lesson to learn at such a young age. I am stunned that more than 80% of cars on the road in SA have no insurance and why the 20% needs it as no one is helping cover your claim when it is not your fault. This is an african type of custom and many of them cannot afford the car let alone the insurance so they skip that part. How they get financing is beyond ne as well because you need insurance for financing.
