Announcing the Winners of HiveBuzz's Yearly Author Badge for 2023!
Yesterday @hivebuzz announced a new badge they handed out for authors who have posted every day of he year for 2023. There were only 95 accounts on the blockchain who achieved this and I had no idea this was even a thing. With load shedding happening for the majority of 2023 I guess I coped and shows staying consistent can be achieved even in extreme circumstances.
I think it is actually quite scary what can be achieved once you get into a routine of being consistent over any length of time. Consistency is the key to growing on Hive and if you want to grow you need to stay active and it is that simple. There are no secret formulas and it is down to you and the time you sacrifice by staying active.
I think what makes Hive easier is writing about things you are interested in and not what you might think others are interested in. The majority of my posts are based on research with regard to my investments or future investments. There is so much information out there especially if you are keeping up to date weekly. When you are aware of every move your crypto project is doing this is the equivalent of insider trading to a certain degree. Once you are fully up to speed you can start guessing the next move and are in sync with the project.
Obviously having many topics of interest and all being varied does help tremendously so you do not become a boring one trick pony that no one wants to read. Crypto is something we all have in common, but there needs to be more as even though I seriously love my crypto there is more to life.
Over the last 6 years nearly I have published 3980 posts which when starting out you would wonder what you are writing about. Most days today when I wake up I have no clue what todays topics will be because it depends on what interests you and each day will be somewhat different.
This announcement from @hivebuzz caught me off guard as this was never planned even though the plan is to remain as consistent as possible. I see the daily posting as some type of therapy and me time which I get lost in another world that helps me to think clearer on any personal issues in life. The writing of the post clears the mind which cannot be achieved by watching television. When you immerse into your other life on Hive everything else is left behind even if it is for a few hours every day.
Personally I do think many people miss the point on how valuable Hive can be besides the earning part as that is only the tip of what is really on offer. The enjoyment factor is fun part which is also addictive which has to be a good thing especially as Hive is monetarized I suppose. I think if you enjoy being on Hive you can see the passion come across in what people write about and reading those posts is often inspirational. We can all do better and I know my posts have improved from 3 or 4 years ago mainly down to the knowledge one picks up over time. We all have so much to share and more importantly enjoy the moment as that is what counts and not just publishing for the sake of publishing.
