Tonight I could not resist adding an extra 500 Hive Power up taking my Hive Power over the 230K mark. This month I have already powered up an extra 1300 Hive and will continue to do so at regular intervals.
Nothing has changed from day one being nearly 102 months ago and that is the mindset of growth, growing to be as big as possible. For myself HIVE is the best adult game on the planet and this is all great fun. With my HIVE goals there are no specific targets for each year or month and it is just to go with the flow whilst having fun as each day happens so there is no added pressure. The best part is the game is a monetary one so enjoying it whilst adding value to yourself and others makes it even more enjoyable.
Gamifying HIVE is something that spurs me on as everyone I see ahead of me is a carrot to chase and to reel in slowly. My account was number 828,518 so in theory had 828 517 accounts ahead of me and now only have 115 accounts ahead of me after tonight's smallish power up. The short term goal is to crack the top 100 as soon as possible and this could take another 12 months, but that is not that long having been over 8 years on HIVE already.
Having started out with a 0 HIVE balance only highlights that anyone can grow on HIVE and even though investment is highly recommended it is not necessary. The going when starting out in the beginning was very tough and saying it was a struggle would not be doing that part justice and very happy that battle is behind me. The truck here is showing up every day staying active being as consistent as possible adding value to the HIVE community in whatever form that may be.
Being a Whale account on HIVE requires a wallet holding 561 424 HIVE Power and after 100 months I am not even half way so this distant goal is still a long way off. The task should become easier the bigger the HIVE Power as the earnings via curation and the staking APR will increase the daily rewards.
Last night my HIVE vote value surpassed 11.2 HIVE per 100% vote so roughly 5.6 HIVE earned per vote equating to 56 HIVE earned daily from curation. The APR has dropped over the last few days from 5.15% and now on 4.95% which is actually very good news and would like to see this drop back to the normal of 3%. I do not like the idea of all the extra easy HIVE being printed and believe the APR is calculated on the percentage of HIVE staked.
Staking HIVE should be everyone's priority as this is what drives and impacts your growth directly through curation and the APR. I do not understand why anyone would be thinking any different because this is the only thought I have had from day number one. Ok maybe a little fib there as day one or even the first month had no idea what I had joined and was a massive mind bender to try and understand what HIVE was. We all have to admit this HIVE thing is a bit out there and is actually a hard one to explain to any new user. Just have fun and keep growing and who knows we could all be whales in 10 years from now.
