In a very concise format Savjee explains why the token standard is needed, how it is created, and what the parametres are that need to be met.
He also explains its limitations, and the standard that is proposed as its successor. Although this is about Ethereum, the process is very similar on other platforms like TRON, for instance, so you can understand about token creation in general.
