Hive Grove is a new game on the Hive blockchain. I tried it since it's free to play but soon I got hooked. I soon bought a second tree, then a third. Now, I'm on my fourth tree.
More than Play to Earn
The game is simple. Just water the tree once a day, collect Hive and that's it. More than the play to earn aspect, it is more of a social game. You get to connect with other Hive players by helping them water their trees. Helping will shorten the time to water trees by an hour. Each tree is eligible for four helps a day so that is four hours cut from the waiting time to the next watering.
There's the campfire where players can communicate with each other. It's format is like the old forum sites where you can start a topic and others can chime in.
From the campfire, you can request for items such as drones. Players are generous and will help with the requested items. It's a game that's made fun by socializing with other players.
The Trees
As I said, the game is free and you get a starting seed tree. You also have tree lands to plant more trees. There are five kinds of trees to choose from. They vary in price, hive yield, bonus and growth rate. The trees are not expensive with the highest price only fifteen hive.
If you want more lands, you can buy those too. The price increases as you buy more lands with the most expensive land costing twenty hive.
I haven't decided yet to buy more lands and trees. I'm content with my four trees for now but maybe later, I'll expand my grove to the maximum of ten trees.
