I embark today on my first solo travel trip, to a place, which they call God's own country.
This and the next few posts I will share will be from the locations I'm travelling, experiences from each of these locations and a context around the costs.
So come along on this journey with me :)
It was only after I actually checked in at the airport did I realise how long it has been - 3 years - since I actually travelled outside the country or set foot on an airplane. I feel that's a long time.
And this was not for any reason but being committed to the demanding levels of work, family and pursuit of goals.
Even while I write this post on the flight, it still has not settled in that I'm travelling on my own to an unknown place. The mind and body are so used to a routine, familiar surroundings, things, people etc., that a sudden change comes across as something almost unbelievable.
When people say in general it's important to find time and connect with yourself, your soul, I never really understood but today, I take this journey to not only a new place, but also take this time to disconnect, rejuvenate and reconnect to come back charged with a better version of myself.
